Superstar songwriter and GLAAD board member Justin Tranter flexed their power in the music industry on Wednesday night (Oct. 17) with Beyond, a Spirit Day concert benefiting GLAAD at Sayer’s Club in Hollywood, Calif. Not only did the showcase highlight the queer artists behind hits from the likes of Tyga, Offset, Maren Morris and Zedd, but the event raised over $400,000 for GLAAD’s anti-bullying campaign.

Two of the night's biggest donors were Nick Jonas and Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds, who each pledged $50,000 to the organization.

Tranter has co-written with both artists. They worked on Jonas’ single “Close” and the Golden Globe-nominated track “Home” from the animated movie Ferdinand. The hit-making songwriter also contributed to five Imagine Dragons songs, including their latest release “Natural,” which reached a new peak of No. 13 on this week’s Hot 100 chart.

Other donors at the GLAAD event included Ariadne Getty and her son designer August Getty (who donated over $90,000), Darren Criss and Derek Hough.
