Witching season is approaching, and Aja wants us to know that they’re coming for blood.

The Drag Race season 9 alum unveiled their latest single, the furious monster-mash trap jam “Demons, Witches & Bitches” just in time to slot into your Halloween party mix.

Featuring queer Kansas City MC Shilow and fellow Drag Race alum and rapper The Vixen, “Demons, Witches and Bitches” takes a hit against the spooky creatures that come up, one-by-one, in the DM or in real life. “Demons and witches and bitches they off in my mentions/They can get stitches,” Aja raps over a sleek trap beat, slaying the demons with a versatile flow that swaps between a slow lurch and tongue-twisting turns of phrase.

Aja writes to Billboard that the concept was born out of a brainstorming session with the Kansas City rapper earlier this year. Recruiting The Vixen was the next logical step, they added, because of her own deadly flow. It helped that The Vixen turned in her verse in less than 24 hours.

“I was very inspired by the lines in Nicki Minaj’s verse on 'Monster' where she basically says, 'Say what you want about me, but I’m doing 50K for a verse, no album out,'" Aja tells Billboard. “That really spoke to me and I did both of my verses alluding to the fact that regardless of what they thought, I’m killing the game.”

It’s the first taste of Aja's upcoming full-length album, slated for an early 2019 release.
