Jessica 6

Jessica 6, the performing alias of Nomi Ruiz, has unveiled her latest project The Eliot Sessions today (Oct. 15). The album is a collaboration with Greek producer Eliot.

The trans Nuyorican artist, who has worked in the past with Hercules & Love Affair and and Anohni, has debuted a stylish, varied suite of electronic songs. Jessica 6 roams through R&B, house, and disco on The Eliot Sessions without so much as breaking a sweat. The album also delves deep into discussions of modern LGBT culture, as well, touching on desire, transamory, and toxic masculinity within the community.

Aside from the the spiked-out house jams “Ridiculous” and “Get Loaded,” which were released earlier this year, Jessica 6 broadens her vision of the nightclub with the ticking, throbbing "Bad Thing," and the spacey, subdued "Do You Love Me."
