Tammie Brown Discusses Her Forthcoming Pop-Folk EP 'A Little Bit of Tammie': Watch

Tammie Brown caught up with Billboard Pride during RuPaul’s DragCon 2018 to chat about what fans can expect from her new EP and which causes she believes are the most important to support at this time.

Speaking of her forthcoming EP, which will be called A Little Bit of Tammie, the drag queen tells Billboard Pride editor Patrick Crowley that it will be pop with a little bit of folk mixed in.

Asked what her biggest musical influences on the collection of songs have been, Brown explains, “One of the songs is called ‘Lip Sync Suicide’… the influence was from season one [and] refusing to lip sync the first challenge. That’s a lip sync suicide.”

“And there’s also an homage to RuPaul’s Drag Race and to RuPaul in the song, as well, and hopefully we’ll be able to get him to be in the video,” she continues. “And then this other song is ‘Porta Potty Prostitute,’ which is more of an electro-pop song, inspired by Amanda Lear.”

Brown also discusses a handful of important social and political issues that she believes need more attention at the moment, saying that she thinks there needs to be a bigger focus on indigenous culture.

She also adds that it is very important for everyone to go out and vote: “We need to make sure that our politicians are doing their jobs, because either side, Democrat or Republican, they’re both taking money from behind the scenes.”
