When you’re at the beck and call of British pop maestro MNEK, you’d better heed what he says on his latest single and come correct.

MNEK’s long-awaited debut Language is out next week (Sept. 7), and, like clockwork, “Correct” is the final taste of the album before it officially lands.

“Correct” busts out an array of MNEK’s flows for a swaggering, hyperactive display of his songwriting chops, his smooth voice hopscotching over a skittering beat. With a timely homage to the late great Aretha Franklin, MNEK boasts his song-making prowess and his bank account, reminding detractors that he’s been in the industry since secondary school.

“The wait is over, you're now rocking with the best,” he sings on the swaggering chorus -- a warning siren before his long-awaited debut drops.

Directed by MNEK and Luke Biggins, the glitzy, violet-hued video finds MNEK vamping through the high life in primadonna fashion: spa sessions, endless packages and fabulous outfits all play a role, then MNEK ascends to his rightful throne. British talents Rak-Su and Ray BLK both make cameos.

MNEK announced a three-date U.K. tour in October, making stops in Manchester, Birmingham, and London. Language is due out next Friday (Sept. 7).
