Fresh off a Mexico tour with Katy Perry and a first-ever festival slot at Bonnaroo, emerging alt-popper Cyn -- née Cynthia Nabozny -- is hitting the road with Years & Years for the North American leg of their Palo Santo Tour.

Cyn, who famously signed to Katy Perry’s Unsub Records last summer after a chance encounter, announced her tour on Tuesday (Aug. 28). It’s a natural pairing, Cyn’s retro-futuristic funk in tune with the high-sheen, high-concept majesty of Years & Years’ latest album Palo Santo. The tour will kick off in Toronto at the Phoenix Concert Theatre on Oct. 5, take them through 18 cities, and commence in Seattle on Oct. 30.

Katy Perry cheered on her "lil sprout" on Twitter, adding that she's "penciled in" plans to attend on her birthday. Perry's birthday falls on the same day (Oct. 25) as the tour's stop in Los Angeles at the Wiltern.

This tour announcement is the first we’ve heard from Cyn since dropping the excellent “Believer” and its accompanying video this spring. Her debut EP is still in the pipeline, but no official release date has been set.
