For his latest single, “Radio (You and I),” San Francisco native Josh Wood enlisted a director who’s notorious for creating viral videos: Jake Wilson. While that name may not be familiar, you’ve almost certainly seen his work. Wilson is responsible for viral re-imaginations of pop music videos, including an all-male take on Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” and, most recently, a of version Troye Sivan and Ariana Grande’s collab “Dance To This” reworked with young children.

The pair found inspiration in Destiny’s Child for the “Radio (You and I)” video, premiering today (Aug. 21). Throughout the clip, Wood is seen striking poses and executing choreography against bold, monochromatic backdrops, evoking the video for the girl group’s 1999 classic “Say My Name.”

"Jake and I both obsess over late '90s R&B, and we wanted to reflect the different moods when you change the radio, so we thought about "Say My Name" -- the four color schemes, the posing on each beat -- it fit the energy of "Radio" perfectly," Wood explained to Billboard. "I definitely channeled my inner Beyonce."

Wood has seen his records featured on TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Nashville, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and The Mindy Project. He has also served as a casting producer for both American Idol and The Four in recent years.
