Track to Queue Up
In May, singer Solomon Ray ventured into reggaeton with “Así Así.” “In the chorus I sing about how we’re all equal in the fact that we are all sensual beings,” Ray described. Now, he’s taken the track to a new level, enlisting Mancandy and Rob.B for a “heartthrob remix.” The new version is not for prudes, with Mancandy delivering a graphic verse that makes Khia's "My Neck, My Back" sound like it's ready for Kidz Bop.
Music Video to Obsess Over
Acoustic-folk duo Colin & Caroline invited people to bring “the one they love the most” to their video shoot for their latest single “When You Love Someone.” They then asked each pair to answer the question “why do you love this person?” The clip is full of heartwarming moments, including a real-life marriage proposal between two women. Album to Check Out
Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears breaks out on his own with his flirty self-titled debut album. While Shears doesn’t abandon the fabulous, kitschy appeal of the Sisters, Jake Shears boasts a swampy sound inspired by the singer’s new home of New Orleans.
Television to Tune In For
Logo is celebrating the Queen of Pop’s 60th birthday with a Madonna marathon beginning at midnight on Thursday (Aug. 16). The programming includes Madge-themed episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race, a four-hour block of her most celebrated music videos and the episode of Will & Grace that featured the star. Following the festivities, the network will air season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in its entirety.
Podcast to Get Lost In
