RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9 runner-up Peppermint is a multi-talented queen on the rise. Along with being an astonishing and world-renowned drag queen, Peppermint has a knack for singing and acting. Now, with her latest music video, you can certainly add rapping to the growing list.

Peppermint released a video for her song “Black Pepper” on Saturday. The video features Peppermint spitting her fast-paced lyrics while dancing and grinding across the screen in a variety of scintillating costumes.

“Black Pepper” comes from the queen’s sophomore album of the same name from last year. In a statement, Peppermint said that both the song and the album are representative of a much darker, harsher sound then her debut, Hardcore Glamour. “I went on an emotional roller coaster this year,” she said. “I had some highs and some really low, lows. All that is reflected in this album.”

Along with adding another video to her burgeoning music career, Peppermint is currently prepping for her upcoming Broadway debut in Head Over Heels, a musical telling the story of Phillip Sidney’s Arcadia through the rock music of The Go-Go’s. Playing Pythio, the non-binary Oracle of Delphi, the star will be making history as the first transgender woman to originate a role on Broadway.
