Hold on to your ten-gallon hats. As a part of their upcoming Concert for Love & Acceptance, GLAAD announced today (May 25) that country music star Tanya Tucker will be taking the stage at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee to help spread the organization’s message of love and inclusivity.

“I am thrilled to welcome my wonderful and dear friend Tanya Tucker to the show,” the event’s host, openly gay country star Ty Herndon, said in a statement. “I have known Tanya’s heart for many years. She is truly one of the most talented, kind and generous souls on the planet. She is adored by all of us in country music, and we’ll all be watching to learn a little something about how it’s done.”

The “Delta Dawn” singer will be joining the growing list of performers at this year’s event, including Herndon, Cassadee Pope, Calum Scott, Parson James, and many more. “My first ‘forty-five’ growing up in South Carolina was Tanya Tucker’s ‘Delta Dawn,’ so I have been a fan for a long time,” said Zeke Stokes, the event’s executive producer. “I’m so excited that we have reached a time when the country music community is standing up for love and acceptance for LGBTQ people, and young children everywhere who feel different can know that we’re all on their side.”

This year will mark the third Concert for Love & Acceptance, which started back in 2015 in conjunction with GLAAD’s Southern Stories project, which aims to help better tell the stories of the LGBTQ community and its allies in the South. The concert, supported and sponsored by CMT, also marks a growing wave of LGBTQ acceptance in the field of country music, with artists like Kacey Musgraves and Luke Bryan sharing support for the community in their music.

The Concert for Love & Acceptance will take place Thursday June 7 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee.
