Trinity Taylor at DragCon: 'When I Started Drag, This Wasn't Something I Ever Thought Would Be Possible'

Trinity Taylor stopped to chat with Billboard Pride editor Patrick Crowley during RuPaul’s DragCon weekend, where she discussed why DragCon is so special and how she manages to keep herself healthy throughout the busy weekend.

“I think the most exciting thing about DragCon is just the fact that we have a huge convention that’s based around what I love, which is drag,” Taylor says. “When I started drag like 15 years ago, this was not something you would ever have thought would be possible.”

“It’s great to see that this is something that’s moving our community -- and not just our community, but the world -- in a better direction that it’s more accepted,” she continues. “It’s more open, to be whoever you want to be, and we can celebrate it here.”

Asked how she stays germ-free during DragCon weekend, the season 9 drag queen tells Billboard Pride, “I just got some Vitamin C that I put in my water just now, 'cause I was like, girl, I cannot get sick with all these people. I have sanitizer. I’m gonna do the Valentina and be like, ‘Don’t touch me’ -- I’m just kidding!"
