Pop singer Anne-Marie came into the public eye over the last few years as a friend and collaborator of renowned DJ and producer Marshmello, not to mention her turn on Clean Bandit's "Rockabye."
The singer from London released her debut album Speak Your Mind, featuring collaborators like Marshmello, Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit and more on Friday (April 27). On one of her new songs, “Perfect,” the British singer gets personal, singing about issues like body positivity and beauty standards to show that being different is the new normal. With one particular line -- “And I'll love who I want to love, 'cause this love is gender-free" -- Anne-Marie implies that gender isn’t important to her when it comes to dating.
