The good news just keeps on coming for RuPaul and his team. The third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars was the show’s most-watched season yet -- including both regular and all-stars seasons. The VH1 hit was also the No. 1 original cable series in its time period, according to Nielsen. This season had more than 760,000 viewers, which is up 189 percent from season 2 for the 18-49 age demographic.
All Stars 3 ended Thursday with a controversial finale that crowned Trixie Mattel the winner after fan favorite Shangela wasn't chosen to advance to the top two. "I am not the reason she didn't make it," Mattel said in an interview with Billboard after the finale. "I don't know what the reason is, but you can tell on my face that I was as surprised as anybody. It's not that I don't believe in myself, but I have lost Drag Race a few times, so maybe that was the moment."
