When he appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night, Adam Rippon made one thing clear: He’s “not coming” for fellow Olympian Johnny Weir’s commentating job. Host Andy Cohen asked Rippon whether he thought the rumors published by Page Six that Weir was jealous of Rippon's newfound success were true.
“Um…” he began, pausing slightly. “Maybe.” He added: “I’m not coming for his job. I’m not coming for his gig.”
Rippon rose to fame during this year’s Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. Page Six reported that Weir “threw a fit” over the fact that Rippon was getting more positive press than he was during the Games. Weir served as a figure skating commentator along another former Olympian, Tara Lipinski.
