Adam Lambert's fans have been waiting for years to hear news about the pop-rock star’s next album.  After his release of “Two Fux” last summer, fans were more anxious than ever to hear about his new work. Last night, they finally got their update.

In a late-night Twitter Q&A on Wednesday (Feb. 14), Lambert said that he is currently working on a new album, and it's quite "yummy." The “Ghost Town” singer also said that while he is not sure when the project will be released, “there will be new music this year.”

The star also revealed that he has written quite a few songs already for the unnamed record -- "about 35ish," to be (sort of) exact -- but added that he hasn't picked a single from the bunch just yet. Lambert added in a separate answer that his new album will probably feature various different genres, saying “It’s basically all of my influences rolled into my own special blend.”

Needless to say, the Glamberts were very excited.

Lambert is currently on tour with Queen in New Zealand and Australia, with their next European tour leg starting up in June.
