This Week's Gay Agenda: Marina & The Diamonds, Cyndi Lauper and a French Adult Film Star

gay agenda 2017

Gay Agenda is a new column for Billboard Pride where we run down five fab things for the week. Between new tracks, music videos and pop culture moments, we want our readers to be prepared for boozy brunch conversation.

For our first edition of the series, we have a new Marina & The Diamonds track, a song of the summer contender and a music video with a notable gay porn star.

1. Clean Bandit and Marina & the Diamonds' "Disconnect" Finally Surfaces

Finally. We’ve been waiting for this collab for over a year -- Marina even tweeted the band to inquire about it’s release last June. Thankfully, it was worth the wait.

2. Cyndi Lauper is a Trailblazer

Logo and VH1 will be airing the 2017 Trailblazer Awards tonight (June 23) at 9 ET/PT. Cyndi Lauper will being honored because...duh. The show features a performances from Julia Michaels, Hayley Kiyoko, Alex Newell and Wrabel, and also features appearances Empire stud Jussie Smollett and the kween of pinot noir, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Tituss Burgess.

3. Hot & Cold: Sevdaliza’s “Bluecid” Music Video

The Iranian-born singer’s ice-cold song is great on it’s own, but the fact that she enlisted François Sagat -- one of France’s biggest adult film stars -- makes it even cooler. He may keep his clothes on, but the tension in this video is hot as heck.

4. Summer Jam: DeJ Loaf, “No Fears”

This song is the perfect soundtrack for pretending we enjoy the humidity of the summer. Better yet? It could be interpreted as a wink at the Detroit rapper/singer’s rumored bisexuality, with lyrics like “None of the gossip/ Nothing can stop us/ I wanna love you with no fears."

5. Spill The Tea Already!

A bit of self-promo, but if you haven’t checked out our drag queen roundtable series Spilling the Tea, you’re missing out on some steaming hot Earl Grey, mama! RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Willam, Derrick Barry, Manila Luzon, Pandora Boxx and Mariah kiki with hostess Tamar Braxton about everything from musicians (Adam Lambert, Diana Ross, Lady Gaga) to crazy fan art to mama Ru herself. The series is a hoot and a half. Watch below:
