Jennifer Lopez remembered Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with former first lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday (Sept. 22) for the latter's day-long National Voter Registration Day Instagram Live takeover.

As part of her partnership with When We All Vote, Obama invited J.Lo, ZendayaDJ KhaledH.E.R.Jeezy, DJ D Nice and more stars for her jam-packed "Get Registered & Ready" livesteam. During their conversation, Lopez reflected on Justice Ginsburg's work in the Supreme Court and what she fought for in American society.

"I was a huge fan of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I think you were too. She's an iconic American figure who stood up for women's rights, for equal rights," the pop star said, while asking Obama what she thought of her.

"Barack and I were privileged to call her a friend. We had dinner with her and her husband. We would see her almost every holiday," Obama recalled. "Just an amazing, amazing force of a woman. I have always been moved by just her story, of how she had a family, raised a family, then went back to law school and faced a level of discrimination."
