A number of celebrities have been rallying behind Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, and Mike Posner is the latest to throw his endorsement at the candidate.

In a video uploaded to Sanders' Instagram page on Friday (March 6), Posner announced his endorsement. The clip shows the crooner at a recent rally performance, chanting, "It's not me, us," with the crowd.

"This campaign is really not about Bernie Sanders," Posner says in the clip. "I’m not here to kiss Bernie Sanders’ feet. I don’t think he’s the second coming of Christ. I don’t worship him and I don’t think most people here worship him. They agree with where he stands on the issues, and what he says he’s going to do. Period."

He followed up with discussing his documented walk across the United States, and how it impacted his life. "I don’t want to use my vote to worry about myself, I want to worry and take a stand for those less fortunate that haven’t had the opportunities I’ve had," he concluded.

Posner has been a longtime supporter of Sanders, and has performed at rallies including one in Denver last month. See his endorsement announcement below.
