Axl Rose has zero respect for Donald Trump. The Guns N' Roses frontman made his stance about the current U.S. president clear in a series of tweets Sunday (Nov. 4), asserting that Trump has "no regard for truth, ethics, morals or empathy of any kind."
Two days before the upcoming midterm elections, Rose explained that Trump's administration has been employing "loopholes" to use GNR songs like "Sweet Child O' Mine" at political functions, even though the band has not given its consent.
"Just so ya know... GNR like a lot of artists opposed to the unauthorized use of their music at political events has formally requested r music not b used at Trump rallies or Trump associated events," he said. "Unfortunately the Trump campaign is using loopholes in the various venues’ blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters’ consent. Can u say 'shitbags?!'"
