Social media had a lot to say about Kanye West’s meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at New York’s Trump Tower Tuesday (Dec. 13), but they weren’t the only ones.

In a video interview with Clique, John Legend disclosed how he felt about West and Trump’s get-together .

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt and I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. And I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye, that he says he would have voted for Trump,” said Legend.

“I think Trump has been corrosive -- his message has been corrosive to the country -- and I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people," Legend continued. "And for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.”

When asked if it’s possible he (West) had something else “in his mind,” Legend responded, “Whatever’s in his mind, I disagree with it.”
