Actor, director and multi-instrumentalist Peter Facinelli has devoted a significant amount of his self-isolation to creating some music on his own, but he’s also embracing the thrill of remote collaboration for an exclusive playlist provided to Billboard below.

With the help of his DJ friend Lindsay Luv, the Can’t Hardly Wait star compiles a set that bounces, uplifts and builds the positive energy to patiently ride out the indoor life. Perhaps best prepared to see things in the long term from his time embodying a doctor with a multi-century lifespan in the Twilight series, he provides his own guidance to wait things out with the comfort of some timeless tunes.

Check out his picks below, along with his thoughts on working with Luv and the particular song by The Lumineers that inspired the collection.

“Never has it been more important, than during this isolation, to still find ways to stay connected and be creative, so I’ve been reaching out to friends and colleagues to collaborate in all kinds of new and interesting ways. I spend much of my downtime enjoying playing my guitar and have just started online piano lessons. I am naturally drawn to others who share a deep love for music. In creating this playlist for Billboard, I wanted to continue to connect and create with others so of course I tapped my close friend and celebrity DJ Lindsay Luv, who shares this passion. Together we built a playlist that speaks to the intention of 'collaboration despite isolation' and spreading good vibes through the power of music. This playlist is full of cool music that quite simply feels good in a time when we all need it the most. Some of it is gentle and reflective which I feel is something we need to tap into during this time.

"Featuring indie favorites like The Raveonettes, emerging artists like Kate Clover and mainstays like Kings of Leon, there is something for everyone to enjoy. I wanted to riff this playlist off a personal favorite album and track, Cleopatra by The Lumineers, which is from a band I love. The playlist is already ordered in what we think is the perfect flow for your listening pleasure but is always shuffle (and family) friendly and ready for any at home dance parties, cooking expeditions, workouts or Zoom Happy Hours. Cheers to good tunes and good times.”
