Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's new series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from Chris Lane. The country darling just dropped his sophomore LP Laps Around The Sun last week (July 13), released via Big Loud Records and featuring collaborations with Danielle Bradbery ("Without You") and Tori Kelly ("Take Back Home Girl"). The Kernersville, NC native performed the latter on the TODAY Show's Citi Concert Series this week.

The release follows 2016's Girl Problems, which earned him a place among country elite, and support gigs on tours with the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Garth Brooks, Tim McGrawFaith Hill, Rascal Flatts, and more.

Today, Lane is looking back with this week's #TBT Mixtape, featuring Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley and more.

"These songs are not only some of my favorite songs of all time, but they also molded me into the artist I am," Lane says. "The memories these songs bring back and the way they make me feel inspired my album Laps Around The Sun. When I started recording it, my goal was to make music that connected with people the way these songs connect with me."

Give the set a spin and also check out some retro snaps of the artist below.
