Listen to Hinds' #TBT Mixtape, Inspired by Their Madrid Tour Van Glory Days

Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from Hinds. The Madrid-bred lo-fi rock quartet released their sophomore LP I Don't Run earlier this month via Mom + Pop. Co-produced by Hinds and Gordon Raphael (The Stokes, Regina Spektor), the album marks the group's significant sonic growth since their breakout debut Leave Me Alone. "We loved making this album," says vocalist/guitarist Ana Perrote. "We knew what we wanted and we have what we wanted. This is a new start for us and we're fucking ready."

In the midst of a world tour in support of the record, the rockers today look back to their tour van glory days in their hometown with this week's #TBT Mixtape.

"When we first started to play shows outside Madrid, we drove in Carlotta's mom van. We have so many stories about it, one time a tire exploded and two years after the same tire exploded at the same road at the exact same point!" Ana says. "Another time someone broke into it and robbed everything, another AC broke in August and it was like 100 degrees inside [laughs]...It was, and still is, the best van we've ever been in! Anyway, we only could play CDs in that van, no AUX, no bluetooth, nothing! So we carried all the time this huge CD holder with hundreds and hundreds of CDs in it, and here is a compilation of our favorite songs from the most played albums in our first ever family-tour-van! Hope you like."

Give the set a spin and check out some retro snaps of the group below.
