Listen To Aaron Carter's #TBT Mixtape, Inspired By His Childhood & 'Growing Up In Front Of' His Fans
Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's new series showcasing artists' very own throwback-themed playlists, exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.
This week's spin comes from Aaron Carter. The former child star and the brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, who rose to fame on hits like "I Want Candy" and "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)" back in 2003, is in the midst of a comeback, following his recent EP LøVë, with songs like “Sooner or Later” and “Fool’s Gold” charting on the Spotify Viral 50.
Prepping the release of his upcoming new album set for 2018, Carter is feeling nostalgic after a year of major transition that included a stint in rehab and coming out as bisexual.
Today, Carter looks back with his #TBT Mixtape, inspired by his youth and the power that music has had throughout his life.
“Music has always been one of the biggest sources of inspiration in my life," he tells Billboard. "Here’s 20 of my favorite songs that remind me most of childhood and growing up in front of all my fans!”
