Takeover Tuesday: MisterWives Get Hyped for Their Fall Headlining Tour With 'Volare' Playlist

Welcome back to Takeover Tuesday, where each week Billboard taps chart-topping artists and taste-makers to compile their very own playlist exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. We give the artists free reign to base the list on whatever subject they choose. The only rule? Make it as creative and unique to them as possible.

This week, the members of pop-rock quintet MisterWives are getting amped for their Connect The Dots Tour this fall, which officially kicks off Sept. 21 in Nashville, with a recently added show a couple weeks prior on Sept. 12 in Buffalo, New York. To celebrate their upcoming trek -- their biggest headlining tour to date -- as well as their latest single "Coloring Outside The Lines," which makes its way to alternative radio on July 28, the band made a get-hyped-for-tour playlist they aptly titled "Volare."

"Nothing quite compares to the euphoric state of playing shows and getting to connect with the people who've made your dreams come true," the group tells Billboard. "But before any of that takes place, you've gotta get in the right mindset. These tunes help dance out the jitters, silence your fears and pump up the energy to 11."

In line with their playlist's name, one of the tracks that's a MisterWives tour must is Gipsy Kings' 1989 Spanish hip-shaker "Volare." The rest of the 23-song set is indicative of their own eclectic sound, with other unique picks like Os Mutantes' "She's My Shoo Shoo" but also some more well-known tunes (and serious jams) by the likes of Chance the Rapper, BeyoncĂ© and Michael Jackson
