Takeover Tuesdays: The Fat Jew's 'Money Pizza Respect' Playlist

In honor of his very first book, we asked The Fat Jew to curate a Takeover Tuesdays playlist full of the jams that inspired Money Pizza Respect. Below is an excerpt from the book, out Nov. 3. But be warned, just like his Instagram and Twitter accounts, this post is definitely not PC.

"My hard-ass immigrant father did have a very good reason to believe his thirteen-year-old son (me) might be waaaaaaay into dick. As a really little kid, I was very into fashion, I made and served Play-Doh hors d'oeuvres and I was obsessed with disco music. Not to stereotype, but that shit's all pretty gay. The tipping point for my father was the theme I'd picked for my bar mitzvah: AUTUMN. Like the season."

Money Pizza Respect Playlist

1. R. Kelly, "Cookie": At a point in this song he says "I killed the pu**y, dig a graaaaaave" and basically it doesn't get any better than that, right?

2. Yamasuki, "Yama Yama"

3. Waka Flocka Flame, "Hard In Da Paint": This song makes me excited, like every time I hear it I start slam dancing and throwing elbows, which can be super awkward when I'm listening to it on my iPhone at a cute coffee shop.

4. Caribou, "Odessa"

5. Cake, "The Distance": There are three main things I liked at age 15 that I still like now: getting to third base with chicks, nachos, and this song.

6. Duke DuMont, "Nicht Vor Mitternacht": I like to listen to this song first thing in the morning while I'll taking a shower, just kidding anyone who listens to techno or house music in the morning is a complete psychopath.

7. Britney Spears "Piece of Me": This is basically my favorite song ever. Britney is fierce (and mentally unstable!)

8. Migos, "Fight Night": I once saw a 16-year-old Puerto Rican girl tweet "For real tho Migos is better than the Beatles" and while she's not right, she's also not wrong. And yes, I follow 16-year-old Puerto Rican girls on Twitter.

9. Vince Staples: "Norf Norf

10. iloveMakonnen, "Swerve": Everything Makonnen does is great. One time while on I was on molly at Coachella he handed me a bottle of water and said, "you need to hydrate right now or I will be furious." He's a great American.

11. MACINTOSH PLUS, "リサフランク420 / 現代のコンピュ"

12. Future, "I serve the Base": On every song Future has ever made he sounds like he's kind of crying and talks about selling crack, and frankly, that's the kind of stuff I can relate to. Not the crack sales. Just the crying.

13. The Butthole Surfers,"Pepper"

14. Abba, "Gimme! Gimme! Gimmie!": I was super mature and gay as a child, like I hung out with my mom a lot and made Play-Doh hors d'oeuvres and was like, "What are those shoes she's wearing? She needs to go home and change." Part of that phase for me was listening to disco music, like this Abba song. Still love it.

15. Post Malone, "White Iverson": I respect everybody's opinions and viewpoints, but if you don't like this song you're an idiot and are dead to me.
