Actor and singer Zoe Kravitz accompanied her rocker dad Lenny Kravitz to CB2 Soho store on Sept. 22 for an intimate event celebrating her pop's CB2 X Kravitz Design by Lenny Kravitz collection that the furniture and decor brand will launch on Oct. 1. CB2 managing director Ryan Turf and the Kravitz Design team mingled while Lenny, who founded his design company in 2003 and has been commissioned to prettify spaces at the Bisha Hotel and Residences in Toronto's Entertainment District and the Paramount Bay apartment complex in Miami, showed his daughter some of his favorite pieces from the CB2 collection.

Diane Warren's Oscar Hopes
Songwriter Diane Warren accepted the Catalina Island Film Festival's inaugural Soundtrack of Our Lives award on Sept. 27, and she told Overheard that she hopes the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will favor her, too. Warren, who has had more than 100 of songs featured in motion pictures and has worked with Adele, Elton John and Kelly Clarkson, says she's crossing her fingers that her latest collaboration, with Lady Gaga on the powerful "Til It Happens to You" from the documentary about college campus rape, The Hunting Ground, will be nominated for an Oscar. Warren, who already has an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Grammy Award, is a seven-time Academy Award nominee and is "hoping for No. 8 this year."  The official video for the song has racked up almost 14 million views on YouTube, but Warren says she doesn't take success for granted. "Trust me, anytime anything works I am always surprised," she says.

WME v. CAA At iHeart Festival
The bitter rivalry between talent agencies William Morris Endeavor and Creative Artists Agency continues, judging from an encounter that happened in front of The Killers' Brandon Flowers, Island Records executives and Ellen DeGeneres Show executive producer Jonathan Norman on Sept. 18 in Las Vegas at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. WME reps the Sin City band, and when an agent from the firm realized that a CAA rival had accompanied Norman into the group’s dressing room, he ordered her to “Get the f— out!” One of Flowers’ handlers quickly hustled the singer away, and the shocked CAA agent did as she was instructed. WME is famously hostile toward CAA, plastering posters reading “CAAN’T” in the distinct style of CAA’s logo around Los Angeles in 2013. A rep for The Killers responds: “There were some uninvited guests in an extremely busy dressing room area post-performance, and they were asked to leave. Brandon Flowers was not present in the room when that happened.”
