Adele and Danger Mouse

Danger Mouse Does Adele

Overheard hears that Danger Mouse (real name: Brian Joseph Burton), 38, has locked down an imprint deal with Columbia Records. The star producer’s label will be called 30th Century, and he already is shoring up an initial roster, says a source. Always one to multitask -- his collaborations have included Gnarls Barkley with Cee Lo Green, Danger Doom with rapper MF Doom, Broken Bells with The Shins’ James Mercer, and he’s producing the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new album -- Danger Mouse has been working with Adele on her hotly anticipated third studio album. Whether his production handiwork makes it onto the project remains to be seen. A rep for the producer insists the ink’s not dry on 30th Century, but a Sony insider says it’s being kept under the radar.

Rita Ora Shakes It To Her Single

Rita Ora seems to be handling criticism over her decision to work with Chris Brown just fine. The British singer, who has taken heat for collaborating with the R&B star on the single "Body On Me" (given his prosecution for physically assaulting Rihanna in 2009), visited The Abbey in West Hollywood on Aug. 7 in a spike-adorned leather biker hat and ripped jeans. An eyewitness tells Overheard that when the DJ played the new single, Ora jumped on a table to dance to her song as the crowd cheered her on. During a recent interview on a U.K. radio station, she said of Brown: "I don't have to defend working with him, actually."

Jason Derulo Shirtless -- Again!
Back in May, Jason Derulo’s friend The Game told Billboard, “If there are women around, J might take off his shirt in church.” Well, on Aug. 8, Derulo lived up to his rep when he got bare-chested for his performance of “Want to Want Me” during the Hamptons Live event at the summer estate of former hedge fund manager Julie Macklowe in Sagaponack, N.Y. The show raised $800,000 for VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, and reality personality Bethenny Frankel and Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany Trump, 22, were among those admiring Derulo’s ripped physique.
