'The Rugrats Movie' Soundtrack Will Make Vinyl Debut in Honor Of 20th Anniversary

Twenty years after The Rugrats Movie brought one of the most iconic ‘90s kids shows to the big screen, the film’s soundtrack is making its vinyl debut in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

The special vinyl Rugrats release drops Nov. 30. An orange edition will be available exclusively at

The soundtrack blended hip-hop, rock and pop by featuring new songs and covers by Blackstreet, No Doubt, Devo, Lisa Loeb, MýaMase, Busta Rhymes and Elvis Costello. It also featured “This World Is Something New To Me,” a nearly two-minute tune in which artists including Lenny Kravitz, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Beck, Lou Rawls, Gordan Gano, Violent Femmes, The B-52s, B-Real, Phife Dawg and Jakob Dylan, who each voiced their Rugrats personas.

At the time of its release, The Rugrats Movie grossed over $141 million, becoming the first non-Disney animated film to gross over $100 million in the U.S. and the highest grossing animated film based on a TV series at the time of its release.
