With the news yesterday (Nov. 1) of the star-studded cast featured in the upcoming redo of '90s Disney classic The Lion King -- including Beyoncé and Donald Glover among others, Billboard is taking a look back at all the amazing live-action remake casts Disney has enlisted in the past, or has in the works.

Aladdin made headlines when fans pushed for proper representation in casting, as to avoid white-washing diverse stories. For the new Aladdin, Will Smith is set to take over for Robin Williams as Genie, with Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, respectively.

Beauty and the Beast snagged Harry Potter's Emma Watson as Belle, and garnered a record-breaking $170 million opening weekend pull in the North American box office.

In 2016, The Jungle Book heard the voices of stars Lupita N'yongo and Scarlett Johansson as Rakshaa and Kaa, with young actor Neel Sethi appearing as Mowgli.

As for the upcoming 101 Dalmatians live-action move, titled Cruella, Emma Stone will step into the sinister title role.
