Harry Styles fans have been anticipating the One Direction member’s feature-film debut in the upcoming period piece Dunkirk since it was announced nearly a year ago that he would make an appearance.

On Thursday (July 6), new teaser trailers for the Christopher Nolan-directed film were released, featuring scenes of the singer as well as new clips of footage of Styles' character (finally!) speaking.

The forthcoming WWII-epic tells the story of the 1940 battle in which German forces trapped Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. The new 60-second trailer shows the troops fighting for survival, including a shot of a determined Styles swimming toward safety. One of the new 30-second previews features dramatic dialogue with the "Sign of the Times" singer relentlessly trying to survive, as he proclaims, "Somebody has got to get off so that the rest of us can live," while the other sees him on the ship in the midst of the attack.
