Alice Cooper & Halestorm Announce Co-Headlining North American Tour
The joint tour will also make a special stop at The Opry House in Nashville.
Rock icon Alice Cooper and Grammy-winning band Halestorm announced a co-headlining tour across North America this summer. Produced by Live Nation, the 19-city trek will kick off on July 17 at PPL Center in Allentown, Pa. and run through major markets before closing out on Aug. 16 at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J.
“We’ve played festivals with Halestorm, including Rock In Rio, and now I’m excited about doing this summer tour with Lzzy and the band, can’t wait to get to the first show,” said Cooper in a release.
“We are beyond excited to announce our new tour with the man who burnt the rule book on Rock n Roll...Alice Cooper,” said Lzzy Hale, frontwoman of Halestorm in a release. “Alice is our A in the ABC’s of Rock music, and we are honored to be sharing the stage with such a legend and his incredible band. School’s definitely out!”
The joint tour will hit Detroit, Chicago, Houston and more, even making a stop at the traditionally country venue, The Opry House in Nashville.
“Today’s announcement of Alice Cooper and Halestorm, added to other shows we have coming up like Hozier, Jay Leno with Jeff Foxworthy, and Santana, really paints the picture of the variety the room can accommodate,” SVP of programming & artist relations GM for Grand Ole Opry Sally Williams tells Billboard. “Because the auditorium of the Opry House was modeled after the Ryman Auditorium, there’s a great intimate vibe even though the capacity is 4,400. Highlights more recently have included shows ranging from John Prine & Nathaniel Rateliff, to The Killers, to Adam Sandler.”
Rock’n Roll Hall of Famer Cooper will bring his all-new Ol' Black Eyes Is Back show for the Summer 2019 tour. Copper is also expected to release new music produced by his longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin in time for the summer dates. The follow up to Cooper’s 2017 album Paranormal, will feature friends like ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, U2’s Larry Mullen Jr, and Deep Purple’s Roger Glover, as well as original Alice Cooper band members Neal Smith, Dennis Dunaway and Michael Bruce.
In addition to recording and touring both on his own and with the Hollywood Vampires (with pals Joe Perry and Johnny Depp), Cooper continues his nightly syndicated radio show Nights With Alice Cooper, heard worldwide on over 100 radio stations.
In 2018, Halestorm released their fourth full-length album Vicious, which earned the group their second Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance.
Motionless In White will serve as support for all dates.
