Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's new series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from Phoebe Bridgers. The 23-year-old Los Angeles based singer-songwriter is in the midst of a major mainstream breakthrough, following the release of her striking, poignant debut LP Stranger In The Alps, released this past September via Dead Oceans.

The burgeoning talent has since earned a legion of famous fans, first earning praise from Ryan Adams, who recorded and released her debut 7", as well as Julien Baker, who hand picked her to support her 2016 tour. She also collaborated with Conor Oberst and former Bon Iver musician Rob Moose on the LP.

After her whirlwind ascent, Bridgers today looks back with this week's #TBT Mixtape, meant to be an "honest portrayal" of the contents of her early 2000-era iPod Shuffle.

"These are the songs that made me want to play guitar, sing, steal my brother’s cargo shorts and get side bangs.  My freshman year of high school I made a playlist for a senior I had a crush on that ended with 'I’ve Got a Feeling' by the Black Eyed Peas without a hint of irony," Bridgers says. "I’ve always tried to be honest and unapologetic about my music taste, good is good.  And I probably wouldn't have made it to Elliott Smith without Avril Lavigne."

Give the throwback set a spin and also check out some retro snaps of the artist below.
