Gucci Mane's Long-Awaited Memoir Hits Stores: 'The Autobiography of Gucci Mane'

In September, Gucci Mane’s three-year probation order was terminated a whole two years early, and Tuesday (Sept. 19) marks the official end of his sentence -- luckily, on the very same day as his book release and just in time for his upcoming wedding, new Reebok "Guwop" DMX Run 10 sneaker collab, and studio album release in October.

The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, the rapper’s highly-anticipated memoir, will recount his childhood growing up in Alabama all the way through his most recent prison stint. Released on Tuesday (Sept. 19), Guwop took to social media to express his excitement while visiting Barnes & Noble locations in NYC to do book signings...while, of course, flashing that famous Gucci smile we've seen so much of lately.

Co-authored by Neil Martinez-Belkin and published by Simon & Schuster, the 37-year-old gives a serious look inside his major life struggles and triumphs, prison time, and why he urges artists to “make as much music as you can, as quickly as you can, and release it all for free.” It also includes exclusive photos from over the years.

Since his release from prison in May 2016, the trap music pioneer has seemingly changed his life for the better, and has no intention of going back to his old ways. “I got another chance, and I really want to take advantage of it,” he told GQ.

Off probation today and my book is in stores NOW! What a day!!!!
