Russell Westbrook, the NBA's MVP, most fashionable athlete and biggest Taylor Swift fan, is adding author to his list of accomplishments, releasing Russell Westbrook: Style Drivers with mega book publisher Rizzoli this fall.

In the book, the player and other notable figures, including DJ Khaled and Victor Cruz, speak at length about Westbrook's foray into the fashion industry, discussing what it was like to create a capsule collection with Barney's New York, a collaboration with the Jordan brand and even a charity-centric collection with King & Jaxs to raise money for his Why Not? Foundation

"My main thing was trying to figure out how I can be able to connect fashion with sports and music," Westbrook tells Billboard of writing the book. "Style Drivers was the pure definition of being able to create and get different people of influence, from all over the world, to express their views on my fashion evolution, including different things I was doing on and off the floor."

While today Westbrook is able to tap any one of his famous friends for passion projects like this, he says he wasn't always so in touch with the mainstream. "Growing up, my 'pop culture' was my mom," Westbrook says. "I wasn't that in tune with fashion because I didn't have access to those outlets." Now, the basketball player says, he's constantly switching it up. "I really don't have a fashion staple. I'm into a few things one week, and very quickly on to something else next week. That's just how I am."
