Conor McGregor, the Irish UFC fighter known for his extravagant and flamboyant style, may have officially topped himself.

On Thursday night, McGregor waltzed out of Brooklyn's Barclay's Center locker room for his pre-fight press conference wearing a custom Gucci mink coat with the Italian house's signature snake embroidered on the back, accessorizing his estimated $30,000 coat with 1970s inspired brocade Gucci pants and matching red turtleneck (which was later discarded for the fight). Do the math, and the entire outfit costs over a reported $150,000.

The full Gucci look was inspired by heavyweight boxing champion Smokin' Joe Frazier, who wore an almost-identical look to his pre-Muhammad Ali fight press conference in 1974.

McGregor is obviously well-known for his outlandish sartorial taste--at the Toronto press conference, McGregor wore a three-piece pinstripe suit with the phrase "fuck you" embroidered as the stripes--but also for his cringe-worthy insults, like when he dissed 50 Cent Thursday night.

Whether to taunt his competition, American fighter Eddie Alvarez or just give praise to the man behind some of music's best looks--Alessandro Michele of Gucci--remains to be seen. In the meantime, might we suggest watching McGregor slam his two-time champion heavyweight belt on the table?
