BET's First Merch Line Is 'Vintage' & Streetwear Inspired: Exclusive

DOPE, the Los Angeles based premium street-wear brand, announced a forthcoming collaboration with BET, the legendary music, fashion and black entertainment news channel, as part of BET's new ‘Kicksperience’ event. The collab will feature limited-edition “BET CITY” tees ($36) emblazoned with vintage logos from iconic BET shows like Hits From The Street, Rap City, and Hell Date.

“Watching BET was part of growing up for many DOPE fans, and our new ‘BET CITY’ tees celebrate those iconic shows," Rob Gough, the CEO of DOPE, tells Billboard. "The shirts are a fresh addition to DOPE’s streetwear line, and we’re thrilled to work with BET on this exclusive tee.”

To celebrate their new partnership, as well as to promote BET's new upcoming Kicksperience, the two brands will be hosting a pop-up shop at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at the DOPE boutique, located at 454 N. Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles. There, you'll be able to cop the new vintage-inspired merch and can enter for a chance to win a pair of limited edition Jordans and Kanye's Yeezys through a raffle giveaway.
