Kimye's New Kids Line Drops This Week: Here's What It Will Look Like
Yeezus, that was fast. Kanye West confirmed the making of a children’s line with Kim Kardashian West in an interview with Vogue in September, and now the day is nearly here -- their line The Kids Supply drops at noon PT on Friday at thekidssupply.com. (OK, maybe not that fast, but between his Yeezy line, her roster of collaborations on top of red carpet appearances and Keeping Up With the Kardashians commitments, it’s hard to imagine that they have any free time to do anything, let alone launch a new label.)
“For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line!” Kardashian West tweeted. “TheKidsSupply has been what we've been working on for a long time. I'm so excited about this! All of my friends would ask where we get our kids clothes so now they will be available! Tomorrow's drop is so sick! Just a hint…Calabasas.”
Other than that the line draws inspiration from their home base, what else do we know? It will unite both Kim and Kanye’s design aesthetics (glam-meets-streetwear is our best guess). “We’ve had to make all these clothes from scratch for North and for Saint,” West continued to say in the Vogue interview. “And in the process it was just inevitable that we make kids’ clothes. With me and my wife, we have a different perspective on the way that kids swag out. And it’s all just slowly coming together.”
And from the teases we’ve seen on Kim's Snapchat, we know there’s going to be a badass Calabasas reversible bomber, a neon sequined skater dress, and a shearling-lined coat.
We’ve also had about four years of insight, thanks to a combination of public appearances (like Yeezy fashion shows) and Kardashian West’s Instagram. So here’s everything we’re hoping to see:
Angelic Day Slip Dresses
Complete with a matching choker and furry pool slides, of course.
And Evening Ones
Perfect with side eye.
Coordinating Velour Sweats
Like father, like son.
In varying shades of badass.
Make That Lots of Fur
Only camo and leopard prints for the Kardashian-Wests.
Like hot rod flame-licked sleeves, chokers and light-wash cutoffs.
