Ahead of the Kentucky Derby -- set to take place May 5 and 6 in Louisville, Kentucky -- saddle up some of the biggest horse moments in music history, from Trigger to Taylor Swift and more.

-- Three song titles with “horse” or “pony” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100: Chubby Checker’s “Pony Time,” America’s “A Horse With No Name” and Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse.” Perry’s “Dark Horse” was No. 1 the longest (four weeks, in 2014).

-- The words “horse” and “pony” appear in 31 song titles that have charted on the Hot 100, including Big & Rich’s 2004 hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).”

-- Trigger, the famous horse born in the early 1930s, starred in all 100 episodes of The Roy Rogers Show alongside actor-singer Roy Rogers -- more commonly referred to as King of the Cowboys.

-- Taylor Swift’s 2014 video for “Blank Space" is the most-watched video on YouTube to feature a horse (two, actually: Chico and Paco) with 2,028,201,322 views and counting.
