As a musician with a distinct and authentic personal style, a Solange red carpet appearance is never boring.

For the Met Gala 2017, the singer wore a head-to-toe Thom Browne look that was unexpectedly puffy.

Trading in her bright yellow David LaPort ensemble from last year’s gala, Solange donned an ankle-length black and white puffer jacket complete with a long, down-insulated train and peak lapels. To give the piece an evening edge, she paired the jacket with a white button-up shirt.

Prior to her Thom Browne debut, Solange posted a sneak preview of the black and white look with special attention to the footwear -- booties with ice-skate heels.
