J-pop girl group Nogizaka46 shared its new music video accompanying "Shiawase no hogoshoku," the last single for main member Mai Shiraishi before she leaves the group in March.

The concept of the video, shot in early February at a Yamanashi studio, was to visualize what it would be like for the rest of the group to see Shiraishi off "prom-style." The video-specific choreography features the departing 27-year-old dancing with small groups of members from the first to the fourth generations before converging as the group as a whole toward the end.

The remaining members had a hard time holding back tears during the shoot, and rushed to Shiraishi's side after each take and burst out crying. The scene where the members present her with purple bouquets was particularly emotional for everyone, and Shiraishi herself can be seen trying to control her expression at around the 3:56 mark before she manages to smile for the camera. The video was helmed by Kazuma Ikeda, the visual artist who directed the group's visuals for "Seifuku no mannequin," "Kodoku kyodai" and "Synchronicity." "Shiawase no hogoshoku" roughly translates to "the protective coloring of happiness."
