Japanese singer-songwriter and former Remioromen frontman Ryota Fujimaki has joined the roster of NOW PLAYING JAPAN LIVE Vol. 4, an event sponsored by Billboard Japan and Space Shower TV and supported by 12 major streaming services in Japan.

The principal songwriter and guitarist of the currently-in-hiatus J-pop rock band Remioromen from 2000, Fujimaki has been steadily building his solo career since 2012.

The band's hit song from 2004 called "Sangatsu Kokonoka" (meaning "March 9") has become a classic graduation anthem and climbs the Billboard Japan Hot 100 every year in spring. Remioromen's entire catalog was released on streaming services last month.

The NOW PLAYING JAPAN project will also launch a series of playlists curated by the artists performing at the event on selected streaming platforms. First up is the three-piece faceless band CIDERGIRL, whose playlist of "strongly carbonated" tracks for listeners seeking excitement is set to drop soon.

Fujimaki, CIDERGIRL, GANG PARADE and more will perform live Dec. 8 at NOW PLAYING JAPAN LIVE Vol. 4 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.
