Japanese jazz pianist BIGYUKI will join saxophonist Kamasi Washington on his North American and Asia tour this summer.

Washington is scheduled to play 10 shows in North America with jazz giant Herbie Hancock as his co-headliner. The joint tour will kick off at the end of July in Vienna, Virginia.

The tenor saxophonist will travel to Japan to start his solo-headlining Asia tour, starting Sept. 1 at the 18th annual Tokyo Jazz NHK Hall concert. BIGYUKI will support him onstage for all shows.

BIGYUKI, born Masayuki Hirano, is based in New York and has worked on albums such as A Tribe Called Quest's We Got it From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service and J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only.

He is scheduled to perform Friday (July 26) at this year's Fuji Rock Festival, and he will perform a co-headlining show with D.A.N. on July 30 at Shibuya WWW X.
