Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi will release her highly anticipated new album, Spectrum, this fall.

The project will be 40-year-old Hiromi Uehara's first solo piano project since Place To Be, released in 2009. Spectrum will focus on her latest compositions, including the title track featured in the NHK BS4K/BS8K promotional visuals around the end of last year and the opening and ending themes of the long-running TV Tokyo art educational program Shin Bi no Kyojintachi called "Kaleidoscope" and "Once in a Blue Moon."

Hiromi also announced a Japan tour to promote her upcoming set, with 22 shows scheduled in halls throughout the country during November and December. The Spectrum Tour will kick off Nov. 17 at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, after the release of her album on Sept. 18.
