The boy band's singer-songwriter made his first appearance on the Artist 100 chart last October.

The members of EXO are continuing their 2019 with new adventures, as one of its star vocalists prepares his debut solo album.

EXO's Baekhyun will release his first album in July, according to a confirmation from his Korean entertainment agency SM Entertainment. This marks the first time the 27-year-old will be promoting music as a soloist, seven years after his debut with his band.

While this may mark Baekhyun's first official K-pop promotions as a soloist, he's hardly new to the charts, as the singer has already scored six solo entries on the World Digital Songs chart (most recently hitting No. 4 last September with "Young," with Loco), and even made his debut on the Artist 100 chart when he hit No. 84 last year.

The news of Baekhyun's solo debut comes shortly after solo releases from fellow EXO members Chen (whose April, And a Flower EP hit the Top 5 of Billboard's World Albums chart) and Lay (who entered the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 with Namanana album last year).

In other news related to the K-pop supergroup, July will also see the debut of the first duo project from EXO, as members Chanyeol and Sehun are also set to also drop music during the month.
