Are you ready to “Take Off” with WayV? The China-based boy band returned Thursday (May 9) with their second single, which fronts an EP of the same name.

A dynamic dance track that draws on a wide array of genres, including electro-pop, heavy metal and trap, the single is driven by a pounding choral refrain of the title phrase as sweet verses from the act’s vocalists and powerful raps from its rappers flirt with one another to show off each of WayV’s seven members’ distinct performance styles.

“Take Off” was released through a music video that takes audiences on a futuristic trip with WayV as the members interact with a variety of vehicles in cities across the globe. The captivating video is spliced with sequences of the septet performing the track's vibrant choreography.

Along with the single, Take Off features a total of six songs, including three that were released in January on the group’s first digital EP, The Vision. Aside from "Take Off," the album also introduces the EDM vibes of "Say It" and the sweet pop ballad "Let Me Love You."

WayV debuted in January with their first single “Regular,” serving up a Mandarin version of the song originally performed by K-pop group NCT 127 and released by that act in both Korean and English. WayV is associated with NCT 127 and other NCT projects under SM Entertainment, one of South Korea’s major entertainment companies.
