J-Pop Trio Berry Goodman Kicks Off Domestic Hall Tour, Announces New Album

J-pop trio Berry Goodman kicked off its biggest-ever domestic hall tour Monday (May 6) at the Osaka International Convention Center.

The vocal and rap group performed 18 songs and a medley of seven tracks during the main set, then returned to the stage for four more numbers.

The encore included the first-ever live performance of "Start Line," their latest track being featured as the ending theme of the animated series Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion.

As is customary for the band, Osaka-born members Rover, MOCA, and HiDEX made a few big announcements at the end of the show: Berry Goodman will release its seventh studio album, SING SING SING 7, on July 31, and perform its first-ever outdoor concerts Sept. 28 and 29 at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka.

Rover, the band leader, shared the members' joy with fans: "Finally, we can tell you! We're all pretty stoked about this!"

Berry Goodman's i AM the BEST Tour will hit 16 cities across Japan for 17 shows, wrapping up July 6 in Hiroshima.
