Over the weekend, Chinese pop star Lay Zhang, often known mononymously, performed alongside electronic producer Steve Aoki and rapper A$AP Ferg during a Samsung event in China.

On Sunday (Jan. 20) at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, the three artists each hosted their own sets. Lay, a brand ambassador for Samsung and both a prominent soloist in China and member of K-pop boy band EXO, also performed with both artists, and appeared on stage to feature in A$AP FERG’s “New Level” and Aoki’s “Boom Shakalaka.”

It was the first time Lay performed with either artist, but comes just a few months after he debuted on the Billboard 200. Last year’s NAMANANA album peaked at No. 21 on the chart dated Nov. 3.

Each of the artists posted photos from the event on social media, with Aoki sharing a picture of himself with Lay doing one of his iconic jump poses, and A$AP FERG expressing that his trip to China was a “dope experience.”

Meanwhile, Lay expressed interest in further collaborating with A$AP Ferg, saying that he'd like to perform together again in the future.
