NMB48's new single, "Bokudatte Naichauyo," leads this week's Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Oct. 15 to 21, after selling 265,583 CDs in its first week.

The Osaka-based girl group's latest release came in at No. 1 for physical sales, No. 2 for look-ups, No. 2 for Twitter mentions, and No. 37 for downloads, performing better than its previous No. 1 single, "Yokuboumono," which came in at No. 6 for look-ups, No. 8 for Twitter, and No. 34 for downloads in its first week.

These figures indicate that the last release, which includes graduating member Sayaka Yamamoto, drew more attention from fans than the previous single, reflecting the popularity of one of the group's main members.

Last week's No. 1 song, "Memorial" by King & Prince, continued to perform well in the physical sales metric (No. 5), with 24,446 copies sold. The second single by the new Johnny's boy band also rules look-ups for a second week and stays in the top 5 on the latest Japan Hot 100.

Veteran rockers BUMP OF CHICKEN bow at No. 4 this week with "Hanashi Ga Shitaiyo," the theme song of the movie Million Dollar Man starring Takeru Sato. The song came in at No. 1 for downloads, No. 2 for radio airplay, and No. 12 for Twitter, and is off to a great start ahead of its CD release Nov. 14.

Kenshi Yonezu, whose "Lemon" stays lodged in the top 5 again this week, released the music video for his upcoming new track, "Flamingo," on Saturday (Oct. 20). The video sailed past the million mark in a little over three hours after its release on YouTube and logged nearly 2 million (1,999,849) views within the 28 hours it had within this chart week. The song came in at No. 4 for video views and was the most talked-about song on Twitter, debuting at No. 16 on the Japan Hot 100 before its release Oct. 31.

DA PUMP's "U.S.A." falls to No. 5 this week but scores its 19th week at No. 1 for video views with the video being viewed 6.5 million times. "Flamingo" will probably catch up at a furious pace next week, so it'll be interesting to see if the vocal and dance group can extend its long reign over the metric.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, Recochoku provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
