Ultra China Beijing made its debut two-day festival Sept. 15-16 this year at the illustrious NHC Base in Beijing. Music producer and DJ Nicky Romero, one of the fest's headliners, talked to Billboard Radio China about his experience at the debut show and his new collaboration with Steve Aoki:

How's your Asia tour so far? Do you enjoy the time? Which city do you love the most?

Beijing is such a great city to visit -- so much fashion and culture to take in and experience.

Can you name three songs you will definitely put in your DJ set?

"I Could Be the One," my collaboration with Avicii; "Be Somebody," my new single with Steve Aoki and Kiiara; and, of course, my latest progressive house record, "Duality."

We know you released lots of new songs in this summer, and we love "Here We Go" which teams up with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Can you tell us more about this song?

I've been friends with Dimi and Mike for a long time, and it felt right to make a track together. We worked back and forth on it for about three months, perfecting the sound. Tomorrowland was the perfect place to premiere the song.

Talk about your new collaboration, "Be Somebody," with Steve Aoki and Kiiara. How's the experience working with them?

I had a great time working with Steve and Kiiara. They are both so talented and each added their own signature to the record. This was another one that took a while to perfect, but once we did, it was magic.

Your radio show, Protocol Radio, receives over 35 million listeners every week across over 100 FM radio stations worldwide. How do you feel about this big success? Is it difficult, or will you feel pressure to produce a good quality radio show every week?

We put a lot of time and effort into the show each week. The quality is important to us, and the platform it gives for our music as well as new artists is incredible.

EDM is growing so fast worldwide, especially in Asia and China. How do you feel about it?

It's exciting to see the world embrace the sound. I love traveling to Asia, and the fans here are so passionate and dedicated to the music. It inspires me to keep working hard.

Anything you want to say to your Chinese fans and our Billboard Radio fans?

Thank you so much for all your support. Each time I visit China I'm humbled by all of the dedication and love.
